Greetings from Bentonville this morning. Me and the girls are in Northwest Arkansas to speak at the Bentonville church tomorrow and to celebrate Trae's seventh birthday with her aunt Meme and Uncle Ryan.
How bout those cardiac Rangers last night? Down 6-2 going into the 7th, they rally to knock off the Twins in the Hankie Dome, 9-6 in 11 innings. Good to see Chad Allen get a timely hit and the bullpen, especially Joaquin Benoit, held forth in a rare display. The Rangers are now even with the Angels in the win column, two back in the loss column. The Angels and Tigers play two in Detroit today after a wash-out last night.
Best I remember, it was Garth Brooks who sang the country hit "Shameless" about his unabashed passion for his sweetheart. I'm going to make a shameless appeal to all of you, my loyal blog readers. You can now visit my Amazon.com wish list by clicking the link on the front of my homepage. It's just a shameless suggestion for any of you who feel led to shower me with your love and appreciation.
