Crazy 8's

Alright, this is officially really, really fun!

The Rangers took the brooms out again today and whacked Jon Garland and the White Sox over the head to the tune of 12-4. Mench, Tex and the Hammer launched big flys. The lineup banged out 16 hits. Chan Ho Park, aside from 4 walks, was exceptional.

The win streak now stands at 8 with consecutive sweeps of the Astros, Royals and the AL Central leading White Sox. On Tuesday, the Rangers begin a 3-game set in Detroit before moving on to Kansas City. It is critical to take the confidence of the 8-game win streak and the offensive prowess on the road. If there was a downfall of last year's 89-73 team, it was the inability to translate the potent offense of home to the road. The upcoming road trip to Detroit, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Florida is a statement road trip.

The Rangers now stand at 29-20 and either a half-game out or a half-game up (depending on the outcome of the Angels/Royals game this afternoon in the heart of the OC).
